Laura Handy grew up in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh then went to Slippery Rock University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing in 2011. She kick-started her career at Sherwin Williams as an assistant manager, where she was exposed to the fascinating world of paint, paint supplies, colors, sales, and customer service. As she honed her skills at Sherwin Williams, she developed a deep passion for the painting industry and a keen eye for detail.
In 2015, Laura's dedication and hard work paid off when she was promoted to the position of manager at Sherwin Williams. This opportunity allowed her to further refine her knowledge and expertise, cementing her place in the industry. However, Laura's ambitions didn't stop there.
Later that same year, she partnered with another highly skilled female painter, eager to expand her horizons and master the art of painting. With determination and a burning desire for excellence, Laura quickly absorbed the trade's intricacies, acquiring invaluable hands-on experience.
Drawing inspiration from her journey and armed with an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship, Laura took a significant leap of faith in 2019. She established Pittsburgh Pride Painting, a company dedicated to providing top-notch painting services to homeowners and businesses alike.
